Keley Petersen and Jeff Petersen Open Willow Grove Advisors

Keley R. Petersen and Jeff S. Petersen today announced the opening of Willow Grove Advisors, LLC, serving individuals and families around the globe. With offices in Berkeley, CA and Fremont, NE, Willow Grove Advisors is a woman-owned, comprehensive wealth management and investment advisory firm with a global focus. The firm combines proven financial planning principles and advanced analytical tools with a passion for meeting the needs of its clients to create a sophisticated, tax-efficient, highly-individual investment approach. Willow Grove also offers considerable expertise in socially responsible investing.

Keley Petersen brings over 23 years of experience in the financial services industry to Willow Grove Advisors. She began her financial services career in fixed income sales and trading in Kidder Peabody’s Central Bank Group in New York and London. Ms. Petersen went on to become a Wealth Manager at Contango Capital Advisors, COO at Hewins Financial, Senior Manager and Practice Leader of Investment Advisory Services at Deloitte & Touche LLP, Director of Manager Development at Progress Investment Management, and Director of Portfolio Services at Progressive Asset Management.

While at Deloitte & Touche, Ms. Petersen managed the investment consulting services practice in California, providing investment advisory and wealth management services for more than $200 million in affluent clients’ assets. As Director of Manager Development at Progress Investment Management, she recommended money managers and hedge funds to public pension fund clients. While Director of Portfolio Services at Progressive Asset Management, she developed investment strategies and recommended money managers to individuals and institutions interested in values-based investing. Ms. Petersen has served on the boards of Windrush School in El Cerrito, California, Pacific Environment, an environmental activist organization operating in the U.S., China, Japan and Russia, and the As You Sow Foundation, an environmental grant making and corporate accountability foundation.

Ms. Petersen has also volunteered and conducted research for the Rainforest Action Network, Coastal Rainforest Coalition and Greenpeace U.K. She has served as adjunct professor at the University of San Diego and the University of California at Irvine, teaching a course on “Business and the Environment.”

Ms. Petersen received her BSBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, majoring in marketing and management with additional emphasis in math and political science. She received her MBA from Harvard University.

Jeff Petersen brings extensive operational and market experience to Willow Grove Advisors. Mr. Petersen comes to Willow Grove Advisors from Alfred Petersen Construction and Alfred Petersen Homes, Inc., where he spent 18 years as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all internal systems, operations, accounting, and internal auditing. He has been active in futures and options trading since leaving Chicago, where he was an independent futures and options trader. Prior to moving to Chicago, Mr. Petersen worked as an auditor for various hotels in Lincoln, Nebraska. He holds a BS in Business Administration from University of Nebraska and holds NASD Series 7 and Series 65 certifications.
